About This Song

Winner of a Special Recognition in the 2014 LDS Church Music Submission. 

This song is the story of two women who learn to serve the Lord by loving and strengthening one another.  The message can be summed up in the words of Lucy Mack Smith:  “We must cherish one another, watch over one another, comfort one another and gain instruction, that we may all sit down in heaven together.”  I was asked to write this song for a stake musical production.  The music was inspired by a beautiful piano piece called “To A Wild Rose,” by Edward MacDowell.

This song could be used for a fireside, musical production, or other church meeting.  Because of its semi-theatrical nature, it would not be suitable for Sacrament Meeting.
